Vietnam: Nha Trang Bay Loop through Ninh Van and the Khánh Hòa Islands

Depart Ana Marina and cruise north toward Ninh Van Bay. The short first passage keeps the opening day relaxed and leaves plenty of time for swimming, paddleboarding or simply spending the afternoon aboard once the yacht reaches a suitable position inside the bay.

Ninh Van Bay is regularly reached by yacht and speedboat from Nha Trang and is known for its enclosed coastline, rocky shores and resort properties set away from the city. Depending on conditions and local permissions, guests can go ashore for lunch or remain aboard for a quieter first night away from the marina.

Cruise south across Nha Trang Bay toward Hòn Mun. The passage remains moderate, giving the yacht enough time to reach the island during the morning and devote most of the day to activities around the surrounding waters rather than continuous cruising.

Hòn Mun is particularly known for its coral and marine biodiversity and is one of the principal snorkeling and diving areas around Nha Trang. Because it is a protected marine area, swimming, diving, tender movements and any overnight positioning should follow current conservation rules rather than treating the island as an unrestricted anchorage.

Leave Hòn Mun for the short passage toward Hòn Tằm, allowing the morning to remain focused on swimming or a relaxed breakfast before moving farther inside Nha Trang Bay. Hòn Tằm sits close to the city and provides beaches, watersports and resort facilities without adding significant mileage to the itinerary.

Continue later toward Hòn Tre for the final island stop. The two islands sit close enough together to combine comfortably in one charter day, with the yacht choosing its final overnight position according to sea state and local access arrangements. Vietnam Tourism identifies both islands as established recreation stops within the Nha Trang island group.

Begin the final morning around Hòn Tre before making the short return passage across the bay toward Ana Marina. With only a few nautical miles left to cover, there is time for breakfast aboard or one last swim stop before the yacht heads back toward the city.

Return to Ana Marina for disembarkation, completing a deliberately compact Nha Trang charter. The route covers several distinct island environments while avoiding unnecessary coastal mileage or the logistical complications of finishing at a commercial port farther south.
