Turkey: Göcek to Kaş along the Lycian Coast

Cruise south through the Gulf of Fethiye on a short and sheltered first passage. The limited distance makes it easy to include a swim or lunch stop in one of the surrounding bays before continuing into Fethiye.

After securing the yacht, spend the afternoon exploring the waterfront, local markets or nearby restaurants. Fethiye provides a practical first overnight stop and positions the yacht conveniently for continuing toward Gemiler Island and the more open coastline beyond the gulf.

Leave Fethiye and follow the coast toward Gemiler Island. This is another deliberately short cruising day, giving guests more time at anchor and allowing the itinerary to remain relaxed before the longer passages later in the charter.

Anchor near the island and go ashore to explore its Byzantine-era ruins and hillside paths, conditions permitting. The surrounding bays also provide opportunities for swimming and paddleboarding before dinner aboard and an overnight stay close to the island.

Depart Gemiler Island and continue east toward Kalkan, following the rugged Lycian coastline. The passage is longer than the previous two days but remains comfortable for a charter yacht and adds a proper cruising leg without requiring guests to spend the entire day underway.

Arrive in Kalkan during the afternoon and secure a berth or suitable anchorage depending on availability. Guests can head ashore to explore the compact harbour, old streets and restaurants before returning to the yacht for the night.

Continue east from Kalkan toward the Kekova region, passing a coastline marked by rocky headlands, small settlements and protected inlets. The passage remains moderate in length while bringing the yacht into one of the most distinctive cruising areas along this part of Türkiye.

Once inside the more sheltered waters around Kekova, guests can explore the coastline by tender and view archaeological remains associated with the area’s ancient settlements. Depending on conditions, the yacht can anchor near Üçağız or another suitable protected bay for the evening.

Finish the itinerary with a shorter passage from the Kekova area toward Kaş. The light final cruising day allows time for another swim stop or a relaxed breakfast at anchor before making the final approach to the harbour.

Arrive in Kaş for disembarkation, with its waterfront, restaurants and old streets providing a natural ending point for the charter. The overall route keeps daily distances manageable while still covering a varied section of the Lycian coast.
