Australian Superyachts is proud to congratulate Andy Dinsdale and Jérome Le Gal for winning the Copa Cummins 2012 in Yucatan, Mexico.

Andy Dinsdale said “After 12 races and 2 discards, we have managed to win overall with only 2 points ahead of the Venezuelan team. I have to say that it was an intensive match racing fight through the whole Championship. Sunday, last day of the regatta, would actually decide who wins the Copa Cummins 2012 as we were in the lead with just 1 point. We have managed to push the Venezuelans to have a bad start and took advantage of that. Finally in the last race our opponent touched the upwind mark and was forced to do a 360 degree penalty. At that stage we knew that we had just won the Championship!”

Australian Superyachts sponsored Andy and Jérome’s Hobie 16 Australian Championships in Mooloolaba, QLD in January 2012 where they were also victorious.
