Australian Superyachts was founded in 1999 by Captain Richard Morris with a clear purpose: to provide the Australian superyacht industry with a professional services company built on real maritime knowledge and operational experience, not on sales alone.
Over 25 years, Australian Superyachts has grown from a boutique Sydney agency into one of Australia’s most comprehensive and respected superyacht service companies. We have played a direct role in shaping the Australian superyacht industry, from establishing Sydney Superyacht Marina for the 2000 Olympic Games to building Australia’s commercial charter fleet, pioneering destination development and providing the ISM, SMS and AMSA compliance services that have underpinned the growth of the commercial sector.
Our team holds some of the highest qualifications available in the maritime industry, including an AMSA Unlimited Master Mariner certificate, AMSA Surveyor accreditation, and 12 years of MYBA membership. We are the only Australian superyacht management company holding an AMSA Document of Compliance, placing us in a unique position to serve as Company and Designated Person Ashore for commercial and RAV operations.
