Australian Superyachts (ASY) has established its new waterfront home at the Royal Motor Yacht Club (RMYC), Newport, on Pittwater.
The move marks an exciting new chapter for the business, bringing its established superyacht services to the heart of Sydney’s Northern Beaches boating community. Following its first 10 years at Rozelle Bay Superyacht Marina, now Sydney Superyacht Marina, and more recently Jones Bay Wharf, ASY has secured a long-term lease at Newport, with plans to make Pittwater its permanent base.
For Managing Director Richard Morris and Charter Director Anthea Woodhill, the move represents much more than a change of office. Having lived on Sydney’s Northern Beaches for the past six years, they are members of the RMYC and berth their own private yacht at the club.
Their decision to establish ASY at Newport reflects a genuine connection to Pittwater and the boating community in which they live, cruise and work.

“We feel privileged to establish our business at a club with such a rich history and strong sense of community,” Richard said. “Pittwater is home for us, both personally and professionally. As members of the RMYC who berth our own yacht at the club, it is particularly rewarding to bring Australian Superyachts here and become even more closely connected to the local boating community. We look forward to contributing to the club’s future and welcoming members and visiting yacht owners to our new office.”
A Century of Heritage, Looking Towards the Future
The move comes at a particularly significant time for the RMYC as the club celebrates its 100th anniversary. A century of boating tradition, friendship and community represents an extraordinary legacy, reflecting the club’s enduring place in Pittwater’s maritime life.
Complementing this milestone, the complete refurbishment of the club marks a fresh chapter in its evolution. The renewed facilities reflect an ongoing commitment to maintaining the club’s standing while enhancing the environment for members, their guests and visiting yachts.
ASY is delighted to establish its business within a club that respects its heritage while embracing the next generation of boating.

Connecting Australia’s East Coast
ASY’s reach extends well beyond Sydney Harbour and Pittwater. Through its agency partner in Cairns, the business provides port agency support for visiting superyachts throughout Far North Queensland and the Great Barrier Reef.
Together, the team offers owners and captains a coordinated point of contact along Australia’s east coast, connecting the tropical cruising grounds of the Great Barrier Reef with the sheltered waterways of Pittwater.
A New Home for Australian Superyachts
For Richard and Anthea, the move to the RMYC brings together their professional ambitions and personal connection to the Northern Beaches boating lifestyle. It provides an opportunity to build on ASY’s established history since 1999 while strengthening relationships with local boat owners, club members and the international superyacht community.
As the RMYC celebrates its 100th anniversary and showcases its complete refurbishment, Australian Superyachts is pleased to be part of this next chapter, contributing to the boating community it already calls home.
Members, visiting yacht owners and boating enthusiasts are warmly invited to drop in and meet the team at the Australian Superyachts office at the Royal Motor Yacht Club, Newport.
