Why Charter Saint Vincent & the Grenadines
- Uncrowded Cruising Routes
- Protected Anchorages
- Compact Island Chain
- Strong Sailing Conditions
- Distinct Island Character
- Excellent Marine Access
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines combines a mountainous main island with a north-to-south chain of smaller islands, reefs and anchorages.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is one of the southern Caribbean’s established cruising destinations, with 32 islands and cays extending between Saint Vincent and Grenada. The island chain supports itineraries through Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, Mayreau, Union Island and the Tobago Cays. Passages between the Grenadines are generally manageable within a one-week charter, although trade winds and Atlantic swell can create exposed conditions between islands.
Charter Region
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines includes natural harbours, reef-protected lagoons, open bays and regulated marine-park anchorages. Bequia is known for its maritime history, traditional boatbuilding and natural harbour at Admiralty Bay. Port Elizabeth is the island’s main town and provides shore access through the harbour, ferry wharf and surrounding tender landing points. Guests can visit the Bequia Maritime Museum and continue to local model-boat workshops, the waterfront and Fort Hamilton. Walking routes connect Port Elizabeth with Princess Margaret Beach and Lower Bay, while road transport provides access to fishing communities and other parts of the island. Bequia’s maritime heritage remains closely connected to fishing, sailing and boatbuilding. The annual Easter Regatta is one of the island’s principal events and can materially increase demand for moorings, accommodation and shore services.
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines offers a quieter side of Caribbean cruising, with small islands, peaceful anchorages, and an easy rhythm shaped by life at sea.
From Bequia and Mustique to Canouan and the Tobago Cays, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines combines intimate island stops, protected bays, lively reefs, and relaxed waterfront communities across a beautifully connected cruising route.
